Pumpkin Carving

 

Admiring great carved pumpkins is one thing. Trying to get something that somehow resembles the guru’s stuff is something else. Especially if you’re not using the adequate tools. Although you may argue that even with the best tools you won’t make a good impression as long you don’t have a clue how to use them, they actually do make a big difference.

I’d like to salute Ray Villafane here (check out his website) who has been one of my bigger inspirations so far. Seeing his creations has always been very uplifting. I think it’s important to have this kind of quality craftsmanship in front of me so I always raise my bar a little higher than just carving a Jack-o-Lantern style pumpkin.
