Crafting?

Doing things with my hands, materialising ideas. That’s what crafting is for me.

Ok, my regular job is pretty creative, but at the end of a day I usually turn off the screen and nothing tangible remains. That’s where crafting comes into operation.

I love reusing & re-purposing things and turn them into something new. Or make them look like something they’re not. Or just spend my time perfecting something just for the looks of it.

Many times I start a project while 2 dozen others are already in the pipeline, hunting down bits of information and dwelling over details that might be or not be real.
Also events like good friends’ birthdays finally get things going, seems like I need a purpose to do them. And doing someone a favor or being able to give a hand-made unique present is a great afterburner for me.

The process

Usually I start a project while 2 dozen others are already in the pipeline, hunting down tons of bits of information and dwelling over details/obstacles that might or might not become real.
Then I’ll do some prototyping while trying to keep expenses for all the special stuff like tools and colors reasonable…
Next a project is usually put aside for some time to age properly (like a good wine), and one day it’s dug out again and continued or finalized.
So if on your stroll through my site and find something you’d like me to redo, please do ask and allow for some patience.
Well, that’s the short version. Feel free to ask if you want a longer one 🙂
