Car Details #2 – iPhone Painting
My friend Roger’s red Ford Mustang – what a great car. I just had to paint it when I saw it standing in his garage where he’s restoring it frame-off.
The image here is one of the very few overpaintings I’ve ever done. They’re great to get the correct colors, though usually you can spot them from a mile away, mainly because of their perfect perspectives and detail. I was trying out new tools on the iphone, so that was my excuse for this picture.
Here’s another more vibrant example of a red car detail, this one done in the traditional way from scratch and without any specific make in mind. I love the contrast of the chrome’s reflections and the shiny red car body and rear lights.
Painted on an iPhone 4 with an Adonit Jot stylus in Inspire Pro.
